Callen Whiting - Singer/Songwriter
Born in South-East Queensland, my musical journey began at the age of 8, sitting behind a noisy, budget drum kit. By 15, I was in my first band, Cheesy Crust, with friends Matt and Alex. We spread high school pop-punk throughout Fortitude Valley and recorded a single and an EP at Tall Poppy Studios. There, I met my good friend and brilliant sound engineer, Nathan Woodrow. Nathan introduced me to my next pop-rock band, Dangerfield. I spent the next few years gigging and recording with John, Sean, Chris, and Nathan, and still do occasionally. During this time, I also helped out a local Canungra rock band, The Point 0 Five, filling in as their drummer for a few gigs. These are the guys I still play with today, performing 4-7 hour gigs across Queensland. Chris, Glen, Jamie, and Stew have taught me much about live performance. All of this has led me to where I am now. With a plethora of instruments and a vast repertoire of songs, I once again called upon Nathan Woodrow to record, mix and master my music. My name is Callen Whiting.

What is Love Anarchy?
Love Anarchy is my entry into the music industry as a solo artist. The song came to me when I was living deep in the hills of Tasmania in a time of soul searching and new beginnings. When I wrote it I knew this was going to be my first single. Why? I didn't want to gently enter through the door of my musical journey, I wanted to kick it down guns blazing! I have my 2 minute catchy acoustic songs, I have my rock songs, I have my emotional piano songs and even some metal songs, however Love Anarchy was the beautiful blend of all of these. A huge sounding track with dynamics ranging from screaming harmonizing guitar solo's all the way down to soft keys and ukulele. It perfectly sums up what I am currently capable of and what I love to do. Love Anarchy is the perfect musical resume'. The exact way I wanted to enter the Industry.
BTS with Nathan Woodrow
Nathan Woodrow has been the 1-stop shop for my project. He has done 100% of the recording, mixing and mastering for the track, and has also done almost all of the filming (with the exception of my sister Shannon Whiting filming some sick drone shots) and 100% of the video editing. I will be completing my next projects with Nathan for the foreseeable future with high confidence in the end results.

What is the Meaning of Love Anarchy
Love Anarchy is a play on words which applies anarchist principles to relationships or in this case love.
I associate anarchy with chaos, lack of structure but also in that comes independence, wisdom and finally freedom.
I think applying this principle to love is a beautiful metaphor for the emotional rollercoaster love can take you on. The two words Love-Anarchy paints an image in all colors dark and bright which perfectly sums up the journey of love.
